Exclusive Rolex Auction - GMT Master II Jubilee
William George & Co are pleased to announce that we have the Rolex GMT-Master II with the iconic Jubilee bracelet exclusively in our 'Luxury Watches' auction which ends on the 28th July 2018.
Let's take a closer look at this stunning Rolex.
Rolex GMT-Master Series
Originally intended for pilots and navigators after their inception in 1954, the appeal of the GMT-Master has since extended to a wider audience who became infatuated with its versatility and good looks. Now one of the most popular Rolex models, it's become a watch for many occasions.
What does this GMT-Master have going for it?
The Rolex will be sporting the iconic Rolex Jubilee bracelet. Eagle-eyed Rolex fans will know this is the five-piece metal-link that was originally designed for the first Rolex Datejust in 1945.
Trivia - Rolex watches made with the jubilee bracelet are fitted with a crown or oyster clasp.
This model will be boasting Rolex's calibre 3285. Created in-house by Rolex and protected by 10 patents, owners will be able to enjoy a 70-hour power reserve. Being a Swiss chronometer, there is no mistaking its quality after it passed the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute's rigorous tests.
Trivia - The 3285 calibre will be more resistant to shocks and changes in temperature through its parachrom hairspring.
One of the ways Rolex differentiate themselves is through their imposing dials. This watch features hour markers made from 18ct gold which is designed for longevity and resistance against natural elements.
Like all Rolex dials, they are made in-house which illustrates their expertise and an example of their endeavour to continue pushing boundaries in design.
Oystersteel was used in the design of the watch. Tailor-made to be resistant to corrosion and harsh environments, it's still able to maintain its aesthetically pleasing looks with its exceptional finish.
Straight Outta BaselWorld 2018
The watch was introduced at the 2018 Baselworld which is the biggest international watch fair in the world due to its ability to attract people from all over the watch industry. Attendees are able to see the latest offerings from the biggest brands in watchmaking and get an insight into the latest trends.
